The 6th Swedish National Infection Biology meeting will be held in Marstrand on May 5-6, and will cover topics in infection bioloogy such as microbial metabolism, virulence factors, pathogen-host interactions, and transmission routes, as well as antimicrobial therapy and the host response to infections.
We have invited three international key-note speakers, Professor Thomas Meyer from Max Planck Institute in Berlin, expert in bacterial infection processes and the host response, Dr Manuela Rafftellu from University of California, expert in intestinal inflammation and the effect on the resident microbiota, and Professor Antti Vaheri from University of Helsinki, a renowned virologist who will talk about pathophysiology and treatment for hantavirus infection. The rest of the program is abstract driven, and we particularly encourage young researchers to submit abstracts to get the opportunity to present their work to a broad audience.
More information about the meeting can be found at www.mims.umu.se/nib-2014 Dead-line for abstract submission is March 21, and for registration April 5.
Best regards
