Hosts: The Environmental Committee of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and the University of Gothenburg

Given the increasing global health challenges with antibiotic resistance, it is timely to devote a conference to the role of other agents than the antibiotics that may promote resistance. The aim of this symposium is to gather some of the most active European scientists in the field to discuss mechanisms and evidence around the theme of the conference, both from an evolutionary, environmental and clinical point of view.
