| The role of metals and biocides in the selection of antibiotic resistant bacteria A Marcus Wallenberg symposium Date: 15-16 March 2016 (one and a half day) Venue: The Beijer Hall, The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, Lilla Frescativägen 4A, Stockholm Hosts: The Environmental Committee of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and the University of Gothenburg Given the increasing global health challenges with antibiotic resistance, it is timely to devote a conference to the role of other agents than the antibiotics that may promote resistance. The aim of this symposium is to gather some of the most active European scientists in the field to discuss mechanisms and evidence around the theme of the conference, both from an evolutionary, environmental and clinical point of view. The symposium is free of charge and open to the public but registration is required for all participants. Limited number of seats.
